Best time to do:
When your wife is on a trip or away for a day or two or more. When you have the kids or are alone at home.
Is best with:
Remembering to do other things for your wife while she is away. i.e. cleaning, dishes and possibly laundry.
The Act:
Home videos are fairly simple to do. With just a hint of creativity and a few hours, you can have a pretty nice video put together that your wife will absolutely love.
While your wife is away, or even if you are away from your wife, break out your digital camera. Take pictures and videos of things you are doing, things you are doing for her or things you are doing with the kids. Find music. There is free music online and of course everybody has MP3s these days.
Put these things together in a video editor, edit some stuff, add a personal touch and you are done. I recommend keeping the video off of You Tube unless your wife wants to show off her awesome homemade video that her excellent husband put together for her. Do not use other peoples music and put on Youtube!
